1 can cream of mushroom soup (or you may use cream of chicken or cream of celery)
1/3 teaspoon of lemon pepper
1/3 cup of hot water
Juice from 2 freshly squeezed lemons
Zest of 1 lemon
3 tablespoons butter
Lemon Chicken Breast Recipe Preparation:
Depending on how you’ve prepared the chicken and pasta there may be a few ways you’d prefer to prepare the sauce. The ideal method is with your best sauce pan. Place the butter and the lemon pepper and medium to high eat. Sautee until butter is fully melted befor adding the zest of lemon followed by at least an eighth of cup of lemon juice, if the fresh squeezing didn’t take care of it then add a little store lemon juice. Continue whisking before slowly adding the soup and water. Stir over medium to low heat and then add salt and pepper to taste.
This sauce can be used in a wide variety of ways. You can pour over chicken pasta for a delicious and satisfying dish. It’s perfect over rice, or even better over a grilled open faced sandwich.
