Simple Lemon Sauce





There are few dishes that are more popular than chicken and there are numerous ways you can prepare it for your family to enjoy. Ingredients:

  • 3 packages of dry chicken gravy mix
  • 3 fresh lemons
  • 2 tablespoons of minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon of dried tarragon
  • ½ tablespoon of oregano
  • 1 Tablespoon of Olive Oil
  • Fresh ground pepper to taste.
  • Sea salt to taste.
  • Enough milk to satisfy gravy mix ingredients.

One of the best things about this sauce is the wide variety of ways a cook can use it. It’s a nice drizzle over grilled chicken and a bed of rice with crisp asparagus. It can be used to create a lemony potpie as well as a sauce to use with dipping chicken fingers. It’s quick and tasty and al of the ingredients are easy for you to find at the local grocery store.

Quarter the lemons up and set aside along with one table of lemon zest. To create lemon zest; use a cheese grater and rube the outer skin of a fresh lemon along the finest side of the grater.

For the best taste and results organic lemons should be used. These aren’t prone to all the chemicals and harsh pesticides that the average lemon purchased from the produce aisles has been exposed to. Get out a saucepan and place the olive oil, seasonings and garlic in on medium to high heat.

Toss this around with a spoon until the garlic just starts to get tan and cooked. Add the lemon juice and zest, stirring constantly. Get out a whisk and add the milk for one package and the powder while whisking steadily so you don’t get any lumps.

Follow by adding the last package and milk. Stir constantly while adjusting the heat down. Once sauce has thickened it is ready to serve with whatever dish you’d like to try.
